Our Story

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” — 1 Peter 3:15

Our Story

For most of my life, I walked alone. At least as far as I knew.

I didn’t go to church. I didn’t pray. I didn’t thank Him for any of my blessings. I did everything on my own — convinced that I controlled my life, that every success was mine to claim and every failure was mine to fix. I lived that way for a long time.

Then I hit rock bottom.

My construction business was falling apart. My family was falling apart. My entire life around me was falling apart, all at once. My brother had been doing his best to bring me to the Lord, consistently inviting me to his church. I went once. Twice. A third time. But I wasn’t really there. I was showing up in body and nowhere else.

My life kept getting worse.

Looking back now, I know my brother was being used by God long before I realized what was happening. He didn’t give up on me when it would’ve been easy to. He kept showing up, kept inviting, kept praying. I owe him more than I can put into words — and I owe the Lord even more for putting him in my life.

The Morning Everything Changed

One morning I went back to that church. And when I walked through the front door, a feeling washed over me that I still can’t fully put into words.

My legs went numb. My ears were ringing. My entire body was tingling. For a brief moment, everything around me felt warm and loving — and for the first time in a long time, I just felt okay.

I made it into the service, and the Holy Spirit moved inside of me in a way I never knew was possible. From that day forward, I laid my entire life down to the Lord. I surrendered everything.

Since then, my life has been devoted to Him — and better in more ways than I know how to describe.

How Nail & Crown Was Born

I now spend my mornings and evenings in prayer and in the Word. And one of my consistent prayers is for people I don’t know — people who are hurting and need Him. I ask Him daily to put those people in front of me, however He sees fit, so I can do my part to bring them home.

One morning, in the middle of that prayer, my mind started drifting toward how else I could connect people to the Lord. I started thinking about a shirt — something powerful enough to actually move people. Something that could spark a conversation. Something that could bring even one person closer to Him.

That's when the image came.

A nail. Piercing through a crown of thorns.

I had to stop in the middle of my prayer and just sit with it. I knew immediately I had to take action. By the end of that day, the name, the logo, and the vision were all pulled together.

What This Brand Is

Nail & Crown Co. isn’t a clothing company that happens to be Christian. It was born in prayer, designed for one purpose, and built on one verse:

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”

— 1 Peter 3:15

Every piece is meant to be worn proudly — not as a slogan, but as an invitation. When someone asks you about your shirt, that’s the door opening. That’s the conversation that might change someone’s life the way mine was changed.

What We Want You to Remember

When you wear Nail & Crown, remember the pain He endured. Remember the sacrifice He made. Remember the victory He won.

And remember that He’s still in the business of meeting people in their lowest moments — exactly the way He met me.

If this brand finds its way to one person who’s where I was, and helps point them toward Him, then everything we’re building here will have been worth it.
